LINDAR gives back

In this season of giving thanks and showing gratitude, LINDAR was thrilled to support the International Falls, Minnesota, community this Thanksgiving.

Through a donation of two cases of 9-inch Simply Secure pie containers from LINDAR, and a lot of hard work by the Family and Consumer Science classes at Falls High School, more than 600 people were able to enjoy pie with their Thanksgiving dinner served by the local Salvation Army.

Falls High School students made 144 pies for the Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving dinner this year, and LINDAR provided the containers to transport them safely.

“It is very generous of LINDAR to help our community with our Thanksgiving dinner,” said Marva Fairchild, Family and Consumer Science teacher at Falls High School. “This is such a fun project. The students get so much experience making the pies, many go home and help make their own Thanksgiving pies.”

Last year, Fairchild, along with a group of other Family and Consumer Science teachers from around Minnesota, toured LINDAR’s Baxter, Minnesota, manufacturing facility. Here, she learned about Simply Secure pie containers and how they’re designed to keep pies secure while being transported, displayed and stored.

Her students made 144 pies for the Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving dinner this year, and LINDAR provided the containers to transport them safely.

“We enjoy helping out for a good cause, and this is certainly one of them,” said Dan Fosse, director of packaging sales at LINDAR.
